HaShem tells Moshe to command Aaron and his sons (the Kohanim) regarding: olah (burnt offering), altar fire always burning, lifting up remaining ash/fertilizer of olah offering to place on altar then take outside camp to pure place, minchah (unleavened meal) offering, chatat (sin) offering, kosher vessels, asham (guilt) offering, gifts, shelamim (peace/thanksgiving) offerings, korban as tribute/substitution sacrifice for drawing close to God, pigul/rejected if not consumed by third day, tumah/impurity of meat from animal already dead, no eating fat or blood, parts & order of offerings, dedication of Kohanim with immersion & garments & anointment & chatat bull & consecration ram, 7 days of inauguration of Mishkan

"Thus said HaShem,

let not the wise man glory in his wisdom;

and let not the mighty man glory in his might;

let not the rich man glory in his riches.

but let him who glories glory in this,

studying and knowing Me,

that I HaShem make love, justice, and righteousness on earth;

for in these things I delight,

declares HaShem."

Kohanim begin Mishkan service on the 8th day (after 7 days of consecration of Mishkan), Aaron blesses the people, glory of HaShem appears and consumes sacrifices (sin offering of male calf and olah of ram for Aaron, sin offering of male goat and olah of calf & lamb for children of Israel, peace offering of ox & ram, meal offering with oil), Nadav & Avihu (sons of Aaron) offer strange fire then are consumed by fire from before HaShem, commandments to Kohanim about avoiding intoxicants and disposition of the day's offerings, at midpoint of words in Torah Moshe inquires דרש דרש about chatat (sin offering) goat not being eaten by Elazar & Itamar (remaining sons of Aaron), laws of kashrut for animals & fish & birds & insects, objects receiving impurity, uncleanness from touching animal that died, prohibition of eating creeping creatures

David retrieves the Ark of God from Avinadav (relates to names Nadav & Avihu) who sheltered the Ark in his home on the hill, Uzza (son of Avinadav) is smitten by HaShem and dies for grasping the Ark when oxen stumble (Ark was being transported on a wagon עגלה rather than carried by Levites as per Torah instructions), Ark remains three months blessing house of Oved-Edom (a Levite in Gat), David dances leading celebration of Ark entering Jerusalem, Michal (daughter of Saul, sister of Jonathan, wife of David) is critical of David's rejoicing, David longs to build the Temple but God does not request this, God will establish David's dynasty and his son will build the Temple
