Light of Nations

Updated: Feb 11

Have you ever thought about where Judaism would be without Yeshua? Would the nation of Israel even exist?

The Jews were chosen to know the Creator of all and make this ONE GOD known to other nations. Yeshua is the Jew who brought the light of the knowledge of the God of Israel to the world.

The way Judaism and Christianity fit together shows that something bigger than both unites them. This shared Source is the light by which the Word was written, the light we need to read the Word, the light burning in the bush, the light illuminating the protective guiding cloud, the light blazing on Mount Sinai, the light lasting for 8 days of Chanukah, the light beyond candle and flame, the light embodied in Yeshua, the light that lives on.

Thanks to followers of Yeshua, the Bible has been translated into over 700 languages. The Word shines the eternal light of the ONE GOD of Israel to billions of people in hundreds of nations.

"And I will bless those who bless you ,

and the one who curses you I will curse;

and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed."

Genesis 12:3

  • God promises to bless all nations through the Jews

  • Yeshua fulfills this promise

"And He said:

'It is too little that you should be My servant

to raise up the tribes of Jacob

and to return the besieged of Israel;

I will also make you a light of nations,

that My salvation may reach the ends of the earth.'"

Isaiah 49:6

  • Yeshua is servant sent by God to revitalize Israel and to be light of nations

  • we can all lighten up knowing our Creator cares and is in control

"For the God who said,

'Light will appear from darkness,'

is the One who has shone in our hearts

to illuminate us

with the knowledge of the glory of God

in the face of Yeshua the Messiah."

2 Corinthians 4:6
